Yup, Tanya! When I saw this video, I felt I hit the jackpot..hahahaha. Anyway, I’ll update the site soon! I’ll be featuring several progressive schools here in Manila. Watch out for it!

I enjoyed this!! It was a summary of what I just read- What is Progressive Education by Washburne! It was interesting to actually see the figures and proponets that I have been reading on actual video! hehehe:)

I also read that book! It’s my favorite because it was able to explain the philosophy in such simple terms!

it’s me again… 🙂
a progressive curriculum is based on the developmental needs and interests of children right… so we come up with the curriculum a few days after the class has started, after we’v observed what our kids in a particular class are interested in… if that’s the case, why do we need to submit a “proposed curriculum” if we’r not going to use it in practice anyway? or are we? hehe.. (please give us tips on how we should go about it..tnx!)

anyway, i just recently came across your blog but i can’t express how helpful it has been for us.. u are an inspiration, in more ways than one…

Hello again, scj! You initial planned curriculum may be submitted to DepEd. If in case you alter it, you do not have to resubmit to DepEd. What you may do is attach a scope and sequence that includes the developmental traits of each age level. This would give DepEd an idea of your goals for every class.

Don’t worry, bec of your comment, I’ll dedicate a post for DepEd requirements. Watch out for it!

It’s heart-warming to know that this blog has helped you. The goal is really to help out progressive teachers in their schools and classes 🙂
